PRIVACY AND INFORMATION PROTECTION
We at Great Expectations Childcare are aware that parent has a right to know that information they share will be regarded as confidential as well as be notified about the reason, and circumstances, when it is necessary to share valuable information for the safety and well-being of the children under our care.
Children’s Personal Files will be maintained in a secure manner and filed by the director and authorized staff.
The Director and authorized staffs will have keys to the locked filing cabinet;
Children’s files may include the following documents:
- Completed enrollment package
- Portable Emergency Record
- Subsidy Files
- Identification Files
- Signed documents regarding policies and agreements
- Parent-Agency Agreement (For Subsidy and Parent Portion)
- Copies of Ages & Stages Questionnaire Information Summary
We are compelled to share confidential information without parent’s authorization or from the person provided the information or to whom it relates if it is for best interest of the public.
That is when:
- To prevent significant harm occurring to children or serious harm to adults, including the prevention, detection and prosecution of serious crime.
- Where there is reasonable evidence or cause to consider that a child may be suffering or at risk of suffering significant harm.
All information shared should be correct and up-to-date, necessary for the purpose it deemed serve and shared securely.
